Fernery and Bath House
These images illustrate some of the additions to the residence which would have allowed for a more civilised existence for the Rawson family.
The fernery, while giving shade to various plants, gave an extended roof line to the house and a cooler entrance to it.
The shower bath illustration allows us to view a more personal aspect of family life and one that is rarely seen. The bath was situated at one end of the new fernery.
