The New Stove

Charming drawings of the cook’s misery at the old stove and her subsequent delight with the new one. Although we are not sure about the arrangements at The Hollow it is probable that like most station residences the kitchen was separate from the main house, so that the danger of fire was avoided and also to keep the heat from the living rooms.
