Flat Top Island

Pictured here is the schooner Bronzewing which transferred passengers between Flat Top Island and Mackay.

Charles whiles away the waiting time eating oysters to his hearts content. Mills may be referring to the old wives tale regarding eating oysters in a month with an R in it.
